Raja Sengupta was named executive vice president and general manager of Enterprise Legal Management (ELM) Solutions in May of 2021. As the chief executive of the business, Raja leads an organization that is an early pioneer and market leader in legal e-billing, legal analytics, and spend and matter management. ELM Solutions clients include over 260 corporate legal and insurance claims departments including 130 Fortune and Global 500 corporations, and over 35,000 law firms in more than 170 countries across many industries. 

Prior to his appointment at ELM, Raja led Wolters Kluwer Lien Solutions as the chief executive of a growing organization focused on providing search and filing services through its nationwide network. Lien Solutions caters to top U.S. banks and global financial services companies. Lien Solutions is the market leader for UCC and other types of liens. The business combines the latest technological advancements with deep domain expertise to increase speed and accuracy of end-to-end lien management and delivers the industry’s best usability and product features.

Before joining Lien Solutions, Raja was executive vice president and general manager of CT Small Business at Wolters Kluwer providing compliance solutions to small and mid-sized businesses for business formations, business license, digital brand protection and other governance, risk and compliance issues.

Prior to Wolters Kluwer, Raja served as general manager and business leader of American Express Merchant Financing where he led the conceptualization and launch of the business, regarded as a marketplace innovation in alternative commercial lending.

Raja started his career as a management consultant in Mitchell Madison Group’s New York office. Subsequently, as global head of Banking & Financial Services Practices at Inductis LLC (now part of EXL Service), he played a critical role in the firm’s growth, positioning it as a reputable player in big data analytics.

Raja received a Bachelor of Science degree in technology from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) and a Master of Business Administration from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM)
