Lippincott clinical experience and simulation solutions

We're providing students with scenarios they're going to see in practice. They can apply what they are learning in a classroom setting to a clinical setting and make those connections. One of tools we utilize is Lippincott DocuCare where students document just like they would in a clinical setting. By the time they reach clinicals, they know the terminology. They're feeling more confident. They are also using simulation to practice in a safe environment. They are free to make mistakes in a safe place and not actually contribute to errors in the clinical setting.

Available via a student’s iPad, vSim for Nursing enables students to engage with 3D patients. Students decide what actions to take with the system adapting to student-driven decisions so that students can see an immediate cause and effect, helping to strengthen their clinical judgment skills. “With vSim for Nursing, if I’ve made a mistake, I can go back and fix what I’ve done, redoing it again and again and again. I can practice my skills with my hands and feel comfortable before I walk in to see a real patient and do it in real life.
