Professor in the Department of Constitutional Law of the Jagiellonian University, head of the Centre for Interdisciplinary Constitutional Studies of the Jagiellonian University and head of the ‘Society of the Future’ Interdisciplinary Programme at the Doctoral School in Social Sciences of the Jagiellonian University. She is also the Deputy Chair of the Committee on Legal Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences and a member of the Research Discipline Council for Law of the Jagiellonian University. She was the Disciplinary Commissioner of the Jagiellonian University for Academic Teachers and the curator of the Association of the Law Students’ Library of the Jagiellonian University in 2022–2024.
Professor Florczak-Wątor was a trainee judge in 2002–2005 ending with a judicial examination. She is a legal counsel and mediator, a member of the Regional Chamber of Legal Advisers in Kraków and a member of the Team for the State System and the Administration of Justice within the Centre for Research, Studies and Legislation of the National Chamber of Legal Advisers. She is also a member of numerous scientific organizations and associations, including the Polish Society of Constitutional Law, the Committee of Legal Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences, the Commission of Legal Sciences of the Kraków Branch of the Polish Academy of Sciences and the Law Commission of the Polish Academy of Arts and Sciences. She is also a member of the European Group of Public Law, which serves as the scientific council of the European Public Law Organization based in Athens and a member of the International Faculty of the European Law and Governance School based in Athens, as well as a member of the Programme Council of the Wiktor Osiatyński Archive and the Team of Legal Experts at the Stefan Batory Foundation. She is a co-founder of the Central and Eastern European Chapter of the International Society of Public Law (ICON-S), a co-founder of the Democracy in Practice Association and the originator and coordinator of the Youth Academy of Civil Rights at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the Jagiellonian University. She worked at the Office of the Constitutional Tribunal in 2004–2017. She has been an expert on legislation at the Chancellery of the Sejm since 2024.
Professor Florczak-Wątor has managed numerous research projects conducted through international cooperation, including five projects financed by the National Science Centre awarded in the OPUS (twice), SONATA BIS and PRELUDIUM BIS (twice) competitions, two projects financed by the Foundation for Polish Science and two projects financed by the National Agency for Academic Exchange. She also participated in international projects coordinated by foreign universities, including as the leader of the Polish team in a project financed by the Visegrad Fund.
