The future of technology in nursing education

With technologies affecting the way nursing programs approach teaching and learning, it’s no surprise they’re so closely examined.

In a recent study of thought leaders in the nursing field, conducted by Wolters Kluwer and the National League for Nursing (NLN), it was found that technologies used by nursing programs are expected to change over the next five years.

Among the top three reasons are:

  • Changes in technology being used in practice
  • Nursing schools are adapting to meet the way incoming students learn
  • Reduction in the number of available clinical sites
