Assistant professor at the Institute of Law Studies, Polish Academy of Sciences. In her research work and her work as an expert, she addresses issues of comparative constitutional law, anti-discrimination law, freedom of speech and remembrance rights. Co-editor and co-author of the books Constitutionalism under Stress (OUP, 2020) and Law and Memory: Towards Legal Governance of History (CUP, 2017). She gained scholarships at the universities of Cambridge and Yale, as well as the European University Institute. A Council of Europe expert in programmes on anti-discrimination law. Co-director of international research projects, including ‘The Challenge of Populist Memory Politics for Europe: Towards Effective Responses to Militant Legislation on the Past’ (2021–2024) and ‘Rethinking Militant Democracy Doctrine’ (2024–2027). She has managed the work of the Council of Experts of the Prosecutor General for Crimes Motivated by Bias and Hate Speech since July 2024.
