Nursing Lexi-Drugs provides nurses and nursing students extensive clinical information for use at the point of care. Key fields of information include administration, monitoring, IV compatibility and reconstitution instructions, dosing, and patient education.

This natural products database provides clinicians valuable information on more than 460 commonly used natural products. Drug ID helps clinicians quickly identify unknown or unlabeled medications based on parameters such as imprint, dosage form, shape, and color. Powered by Medi-Span® data, clinicians have access to more than 13,00 unique images and nearly 58,000 unique imprints to help identify medications. User-friendly and accessible from the blue UpToDate Lexidrug toolbar, the IV Compatibility tool offers real-time updates as new content is available, the ability to search by drug and by IV solution, in-depth content on the properties of more than 850 drugs and solutions, and over 76,500 compatibility results supported by more than 4,700 unique references.

Using the drug comparisons tab in the blue toolbar, physicians and pharmacists can access two ways to compare a variety of data points: Monograph view allows you to compare four drug monographs side-by-side, and data view allows you to build a customized table comparing up to four drugs.

The patient education module helps clinicians enhance compliance and reduce readmissions by providing patients with a wide range of easy-to-read information (written at a 5th-to-7th-grade reading level) about their condition, treatments, and overall health.
