Post-filing changes can put your lien portfolio at risk

Lien monitoring is critical to the health of your loans.

You put a lot of diligence into perfecting that lien. And yet, over the life of the loan, any number of factors can put your interest at risk: a business name change; a borrower falling out of good standing; a customer re-pledging their collateral... someone may even terminate your UCC filing.

In 2016, Lien Solutions analyzed our entire Monitoring client portfolio over a six-month period. The results demonstrate how vulnerable loan perfection is to change:

Of 30,500 currently running business liens monitored for perfection, approximately 1,300 of them had critical issues in the debtor name. Perfection requires attention.

Portfolio Management does not stop once the UCC is filed; it’s an ongoing process throughout the life of the loan. Lien Solutions tackles these issues and more in our White Paper: Beyond perfection: Mitigating risk with ongoing lien monitoring.
