PhD degree in legal sciences; legal advisor, assistant at the Department of Intellectual Property Law of the Jagiellonian University in Krakow (Poland), editor of Zeszyty Naukowe Uniwersytetu Jagiellońskiego Prace z Prawa Własności Intelektualnej and reviewer of the Internet Legal Review TBSP UJ.
In 2017 dr Michał Markiewicz defended his PhD dissertation entitled Management of Shared Copyright at the Jagiellonian University. The dissertation was awarded by the Minister of Science and Higher Education in the competition for the best scientific study on intellectual property organized by the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland. In 2014 he successfully completed legal advisor’s training held and organized by the District Chamber of Legal Advisors in Cracow, and in 2015 upon successfully sitting for the legal advisor’s examination, he was officially awarded the title of legal advisor. A graduate of the Jagiellonian University, where he studied law at the Faculty of Law and Administration.
Mainly interested in issues related to intellectual property law, above all copyright and civil law, in particular personal rights, goods and chattels, including the Right of Publicity and protection of correspondence.
