Mackenzie is a trained Epidemiologist with over 12 years of experience in the areas of infectious diseases, data analytics and health informatics. 

Mackenzie has an extensive background with supporting large multi-site organizations and has applied her expertise in a variety of practice settings, including academia, federal government, state government, acute care, health care system, and now with Wolters Kluwer’s Clinical Surveillance solutions.

Mackenzie is certified in infection control by the Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology, a member of the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC) and currently serving as a member of the national APIC Professional Development Committee. Mackenzie holds a bachelor of science degree in Exercise Science from Winston-Salem State University and a master of public health degree in epidemiology and biostatistics from the George Washington University.
