Wolters Kluwer announces keynote speakers at CCH Forward Together virtual conference

Simon Sinek, “visionary thinker” and Sunita Lough, deputy commissioner of the IRS join exciting roster of practitioners, technologists, and thought leaders to help tax & accounting professionals move forward with confidence.
Today, Wolters Kluwer Tax & Accounting announced two guest keynote speakers for its 2020 CCH Forward Together (#CCHFT20) virtual conference taking place on October 26-30, 2020. Simon Sinek, a world-renowned author, speaker, and an adjunct staff member of the RAND Corporation, will share his unconventional and innovative views on business and leadership. Sunita Lough, Deputy Commissioner for Services and Enforcement at the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), will also share insights from her recent work on making it easier for tax professionals and individuals to interact with the IRS, especially during the current pandemic.

“We are very excited to bring two unique perspectives from two highly respected thought leaders at our upcoming CCH Forward Together virtual conference,” said Denise Montoya, Vice President Strategic Marketing & Communications, Wolters Kluwer Tax & Accounting North America. “Everyone has quickly adapted to a remote way of connecting and our tax and accounting professional community will benefit from these empowering keynotes as firms accelerate their digital transformation journey to drive productivity and the highest level of service for their clients.”

Simon Sinek is an unshakable optimist, who believes in a bright future and our ability to build it together. Described as “a visionary thinker with a rare intellect,” Simon has devoted his professional life to help advance a vision of the world that does not yet exist; a world in which the vast majority of people wake up every single morning inspired, feel safe wherever they are and end the day fulfilled by the work that they do. Simon may be best known for popularizing the concept of WHY, which he described in his first TED Talk in 2009. He is a prolific author, with several books on The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal bestseller lists, including the global best-seller “Start With Why: How Great Leaders Inspire Everyone to Take Action.”

Sunita Lough has worked at the IRS for almost three decades, joining after spending almost a decade in private practice focusing on tax exempt organizations and U.S. tax-advantaged bonds. In her career with the IRS, Sunita lead an executive team in all aspects of the 119 provisions contained in the Tax Cuts & Jobs Act of 2017 and oversaw the publication of over 100 pieces of guidance, revisions to more than 500 tax form, publications and instructions, including Form 1040. Sunita also provides leadership to the four taxpayer-focused IRS operating divisions - Wage & Investment, Large Business and International (LB&I), Small Business/Self Employed, and Tax Exempt & Government Entities (TE/GE) - and oversees the IRS Criminal Investigation Division, Office of Professional Responsibility, Online Services, the Return Preparer Office, and the IRS Whistleblower Office.
