Lead the Change: 2023 CCH® Tagetik inTouch Global User Conference Recap

Some highlights from 3 amazing days of CCH® Tagetik inTouch Global User Conference

The Wolters Kluwer CCH® Tagetik inTouch Global User Conference took place May 23-25, 2023, in the charming, historic city of Lucca, Italy. We challenged finance executives to Lead the Change by cultivating the courage, skills, and confidence needed to drive digital transformation and ESG & sustainability leadership in their companies and beyond. 
Once again, attendees had the opportunity to experience what is like to be part of the CCH Tagetik global community. With a content-rich agenda, hand-on access to product innovations, thought-provoking keynotes, and many opportunities for networking, we all left inspired and looking forward to the next opportunity to be together again soon. 

During his engaging, kickoff keynote address, Ralf Gärtner, Senior Vice President & General Manager of Corporate Performance Solutions, set the tone for the global event:

Engaging sessions with something new for everyone

The varied content and fresh approach provided something new to everyone even if they have been attending the inTouch conferences for the past 10 years. Some of the new sessions that were crowd favorites included:

  • The new Sustainable Business Think Tank, where we collaborated with Sant’Anna University to bring together experts, regulators, academia, and business leaders to explore key topics including ESG regulations and best practices, the impact of biodiversity on business, the circular economy, talent acquisition challenges in the era of sustainability, and more.


  • The Metaverse corner, where attendees had the chance to step into an immersive experience to learn how Web 3.0 technologies can be applied to business settings.


  • R&D Lab Tours, which provided attendees with opportunities to visit the off-site CCH Tagetik Lab to get a glimpse into product development by interacting with product developers and support teams.

Sharing best practices and celebrating your success

Attendees also enjoyed the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of special interest tracks focused on hot topics including Analytics, Tech & Trends, Predictive Extended Planning, Financial Close & Consolidation, and Tax, ESG & Regulations. They also accessed a wealth of panels and presentations featuring case studies from CCH Tagetik customers.

There was also time to celebrate our customers' success! During the plenary session at Teatro del Gigli we have awarded some of our customers for their achievements with CCH Tagetik:

  • Giesecke + Devrient with the Pathfinder Award because they become our first Global Minimum Tax Solution early adopter.
  • Rabobank with the Transformation Hero Award because they are truly transforming their business by using CCH Tagetik at its full capacity since 2012.
  • A2A with the ESG Front Runner Award because they really embraced the ESG journey, elevating their organization's governance and reporting practices to new heights with CCH Tagetik ESG & Sustainability Performance Management solution.
  • Aegon Asset Management with the Automation Hero Award because they have demonstrated exceptional expertise in leveraging CCH Tagetik to automate their business processes. 

In addition to that we had the pleasure to award the Top CCH Tagetik Insiders Advocates. From our rich list we picked who earned more points during the last 12 months taking passionately many of the challenges we submitted. The winners are Alessandro Peverelli (Sulzer), Cristina Radici (d’Amico Società di Navigazione) and Bas Steltenpool (BME - Building Materials Europe)

Maxing out event capacity year after year 

We packed many hands-on product innovation sessions, thought-provoking keynotes, fascinating plenary sessions and immersive experiences into the engaging, three-day event. Here’s a quick overview of the inTouch impact, by the numbers:

Striving for sustainability in event management

The inTouch Global User Conference, which recently earned a Gold Stevie award in the Cause & Green Sustainable Event category, again this year also featured a content-rich agenda, which recognized that ESG is rising to the top of corporate priorities, right alongside financial performance, as a key indicator of a business’s long-term viability and operational health. Importantly, the organizers of the three-day event also did their part to “lead the change” by incorporating a wide array of environment-friendly best practices, including:

  • Minimized use of single-use products
  • Reused and rented event displays and booths  
  • Virtual, paper-free conference communications via the inTouch app 
  • 100% recycled advertising materials and signage  
  • Locally sourced and prepared meals 
  • Partnering with Daccapo to transform unused items into useful objects for everyday life  
  • Venue fees, reinvested into the local Lucca, Italy community 
  • Walkable accommodation and venues  
  • No cut greenery — all the natural elements were living and provided by local nurseries  
  • All suppliers, including design, furniture, production, and entertainment, were local to Tuscany
