CCH Axcess Engagement Analytics is now available in CCH Axcess Engagement Pro

CCH Axcess Engagement Analytics delivers automated, AI-enabled testing and dynamic data visualizations to support audit workflows. It enables real-time access to financial data, ensuring accuracy and relevance throughout engagements. Key features include general ledger anomaly detection, journal entry testing, and ratio analysis to enhance audit quality and efficiency.

Firms can now leverage data-driven insights to conduct high-quality audits with an automated, integrated audit workflow.

The preview of Document Intelligence in CCH Axcess Engagement helps auditors analyze documents using specialized agents, each built for a specific task and powered by trusted content from CCH AnswerConnect.

For example, one agent can review a year’s worth of board meeting minutes and summarize key points, attendees, and audit-relevant observations. Others can examine revenue contracts for proper ASC-606 revenue recognition and journal entries or assess lease agreements under ASC-842.

Each report links directly to the source PDF, with highlights for easy validation. A chat interface lets users ask questions, request updates, or run further analysis.

The Document Intelligence preview offers an early glimpse into the powerful Agentic AI innovations we are bringing to Audit.

Migrate fund engagements from CCH ProSystem fx Engagement to CCH Axcess Engagement 

Fund migration is now available in addition to other engagement types, allowing firms to transfer their Fund engagements from CCH ProSystem fx Engagement to CCH Axcess Engagement.

As a reminder, to migrate firms need to purchase implementation consulting services, which include access to the migration tool and training on how to use it. After training, the migration process becomes self-service, enabling firms to complete it at their convenience. Learn more here.

Knowledge Coach automatic user release

Active users can now be released within Knowledge Coach. For example, if a user has a Word-based Knowledge Coach file open and is marked as the active user, simply closing the file will release it. This allows other users to open and edit the file without needing manual intervention.

New audit tools for public sector clients

CCH Axcess Audit Government Workflows introduces advanced tools tailored for firms with public sector clients. This comprehensive set of audit tools automates workflows, consolidates data, and provides real-time access to financial information. By leveraging these tools, firms can enhance service quality, reduce errors, and improve financial management.

The CCH Axcess™ Knowledge Coach Single Audit Title provides detailed guidance for auditing entities receiving federal funds, ensuring thoroughness and compliance with standards. One of the key features added to CCH Axcess™ Engagement is Fund Trial Balances, which consolidates multiple trial balances into government-wide statements, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance. Additionally, Consolidations automate the consolidation of financial data across various funds, reducing manual effort and errors.

With the addition of government audit workflows, CCH Axcess Audit now provides a complete set of accounting and audit tools for every type of engagement, including prep, comp, review, audits, consolidated/multi-tier audits, business tax return preparation, and government audit engagements.

Transforming engagements in the cloud

CCH Axcess Engagement now includes features previously exclusive to CCH^® ProSystem fx^® Engagement. These updates bring the cloud solution closer to parity with CCH ProSystem fx Engagement, offering additional features for a seamless transition to the cloud.

New features include Quarterly Engagements, which manage engagements on a quarterly basis for detailed insights. OLE Link Support reduces data entry errors by linking data from various applications. The Finalization feature streamlines the completion and closing of engagements, while Notes Categorization organizes and prioritizes notes effectively. Multi-select and Delete Accounts efficiently cleans up trial balances.

As CCH Axcess Engagement matures, our development teams continue to add features and functionality to match or exceed CCH ProSystem fx Engagement.

Caseware Conversion Utility

CCH Axcess Engagement introduces a self-service conversion tool for migrating from Caseware. This tool converts Caseware engagements into CCH Axcess Engagement, simplifying the switch for firms.

The Self-service Utility allows firms to convert data conveniently with minimal effort, making the transition smoother and more efficient.

Consolidated bank confirmations save time and money

In 2024, CCH Axcess™ Validate added statement confirmations, enabling firms to request detailed bank statements with full transactional data and account details. With statement confirmations, auditors receive a data set that is more complete than ever before and far more detailed than any other confirmation software can provide.

The latest 2025 enhancements further streamline the confirmation process, reducing the need for repeated requests and manual effort. These enhancements facilitate multiple account confirmations in a single request, providing more complete data sets with more economical pricing. Multiple Statement Requests allow up to five statements in a single request. Consolidated Request Licensing bills consolidated confirmation requests as a single transaction, at a lower total price than multiple single requests.

Bringing conversational AI to accounting and audit research

In December, CCH^® AnswerConnect expanded its AI capabilities for enhanced research and client interactions. The AI-enabled text chat provides quick access to trusted content and research summaries, saving time and improving research efficiency.

Key features include AI-generated Responses based on proprietary content for accurate client service. Staff can interact with the AI-generated answers by asking follow-up questions and save time by having the AI assistant format responses in tables or charts, writing memos or emails, or generating to-do lists. GenAI responses provide direct access to the sources referenced to generate the response as well as related tools and practice aids.
