An official publication of the International Society of Travel Medicine and affiliated with the Asia Pacific Travel Health Society, the journal publishes cutting-edge research, consensus papers, policy papers and expert reviews in the field of travel medicine in the interface with other disciplines.
There is a particular focus on the prevention and management of travel-associated infections, non-communicable diseases, vaccines, malaria prevention and treatment, multi-drug resistant pathogens, and surveillance on all persons crossing international borders.
Research related to migration health, mass gatherings including sporting events and pilgrimages, and adventure and extreme travel is also included, as are papers on risk mapping, epidemiology, and modelling as well as policies related to the international spread of infectious diseases.
