The capability was developed through a rigorous review process that included expert clinician and pharmacist assessment and structured testing against real-world medication questions.

UpToDate Expert AI, currently available only in the U.S., provides a governed approach to AI-assisted medication support that helps promote consistency, reduce uncontrolled variation, and align medication guidance with organizational quality, safety, and AI governance priorities.
