Almost 19 years in the IT sector. Marek manages multi-departmental IT infrastructure at DZP's offices in Warsaw, Poznań and Wrocław. He has implemented a Legal IT digital transformation strategy, designed and implemented DZP's digital transformation processes, and built up a security infrastructure based, among other things, on anti-APT and offensive security systems organised in cooperation with entities from many countries. The transformation involved, among other things, changes to the data centre environment to provide high availability, geographic clusters and AI solutions. Legal GenAI is the primary digital transformation legal sector issue, currently being realised by Marek.
He specialises in designing and implementing digital cloud transformation strategies, including migrating and adapting MS Azure Cloud services. At DZP, he has implemented, among other things, MS Azure services such as AIP, ATA, DNS Azure Services, Intune Azure MDM and many others.
He is responsible for implementing projects in AI/machine learning systems and cognitive platforms (Docular, LEX Teligent, Prompter, Legora, Harvey.ai) to support legal processes.
He cooperates with global technology providers such as US Fidelis Cyber Security, Darktrace and Israel Cynet. He runs numerous courses – domestic and foreign – on Legal IT and cybersecurity for the legal industry. He cooperates, among other things, with the Digital Agenda for Europe, focusing on legal-tech issues, and with the Polish Chamber of Information Technology and Telecommunications.
From 2011 to 2015, as director of the IT office at PWPW S.A., he initiated and led digital transformation projects related to the particular production sector and high-security products, e.g., the production of documents, payment cards, and banknotes of many countries.
From 2016 to 2017, as Director of the IT Office at IPN, he implemented digital transformation in systems for managing and archiving large volumes of electronic documents, specialised process support systems, mainly in a classified environment, and extensive data centre high availability cluster infrastructure.
In 2019, he was named CIO Diamond of 2019 in the Legal2Digital category for implementing and promoting LegalTech solutions in Poland and digital transformation in the legal industry. 2018 he took second place in the prestigious Computerworld IT Leader 2018 competition. He also cooperates with Kozminski University, giving lectures in MBA courses and international innovation management programmes.
He graduated from the University of Warsaw and the Warsaw School of Economics. He was CIO at the Institute of National Remembrance and the Polish Securities Printing Works (PWPW). He has also worked for SAP Polska and Industrial and Financial Systems, global ERP–class enterprise management systems producers.
