Many students preparing for the NCLEX-RN® (National Council Licensure Exam) are fraught with anxiety and apprehension. How does the exam actually work? Have I put in enough time studying? Is this my only shot at a nursing career? Educators and testing consultants face challenges, too. They need to make sure students develop efficient test-taking habits required to demonstrate the critical thinking and prioritization skills required of a 21st century nurse—and which the NCLEX is designed to assess. Many choose to integrate NCLEX strategies into every lecture, clinical, lab, simulation, and exam throughout the entire nursing curriculum.

Don’t forget the webinar

Part of decoding the mystery surrounding the National Council Licensure Exam (NCLEX) lies in understanding the terminology. The purpose of this presentation is to explain the important elements of the NCLEX-RN test plan in a way that is helpful to educators trying to prepare students. Basic terms, test questions types, and computer adaptive testing will be addressed along with ways to promote student success.
