A peer-reviewed journal devoted to advancing research on rural health policy, health care delivery, and population health and sponsored by the National Rural Health Association (NRHA).
The journal publishes original articles, commentaries, letters to the editor, and editorials. Most original research articles published in the journal are full research manuscripts, but brief research reports and reviews of the scientific literature are also published. Quantitative, qualitative, and mixed methods studies are also included. Highest priority is given to work that reflects scholarly quality, demonstrates methodological rigor, and emphasizes practical implications for rural health in the United States.
