Excellence and Credentialing in Health Care

The official journal of the Competency & Credentialing Institute (CCI) is an open-access, peer-reviewed journal that publishes evidence-based information, research, and dialog from national and international authors about excellence in credentialing activities and clinical practice for health care professionals while maintaining the highest standards of journal integrity.

Credentialing encompasses all activities involved in obtaining and maintaining healthcare-related licensure and/or specialized education and training required for professional practice in health care, including licensure for advanced practice professionals as well as earning certification for specialized knowledge and skills within the scope of the basic professional license. Health care encompasses the individuals who provide medical care to individuals or a community, both nationally and internationally.

The journal provides relevant nursing continuing professional development (NCPD) contact hours at no charge in every issue.

CCI is a non-profit credentialing body dedicated to perioperative nursing.
