Wolters Kluwer announces continued expansion of Labor & Employment law portfolio with SmartTasks
Wolters Kluwer Legal & Regulatory U.S. today announced the launch of new SmartTasks within its Labor and Employment (L&E) law portfolio, providing users with interactive tools and timely, curated content on specific areas of the law.
SmartTasks are designed to help L&E attorneys stay current with new laws, regulations, litigation and other developments, efficiently supporting their in-depth understanding of specific legal areas. Following the successful launch of SmartTasks within its L&E portfolio last year, Wolters Kluwer saw a clear need to further expand the number of tools offered to cover additional topics of increasing importance to L&E attorneys. The two new SmartTasks include “Preparing for an OFCCP Desk Audit” and “Terminating an Employee during FMLA Leave.”
“As the labor and employment landscape continues to shift, we are constantly looking for new ways to help our customers meet the increased demands of legal and regulatory change within this practice area within one robust online resource,” said Chris Carr, Labor & Employment Law Portfolio Director for Wolters Kluwer Legal & Regulatory U.S. “We are pleased to add these two highly relevant topics to our Labor & Employment Law portfolio to further strengthen our investment in high-quality content and research capabilities for L&E attorneys.”
Wolters Kluwer’s SmartTasks, which are available across several of the company’s practice areas, are set apart from traditional online treatise solutions by providing a single access point – the integration of SmartTask tools with direct links to pertinent sections of laws and regulations, treatise materials, additional primary and secondary sources and other useful resources such as forms and government websites.
Wolters Kluwer provides comprehensive primary source research materials, annotated explanations along with news and current developments on labor and employment law. Notable products include the Labor & Employment Law Library on Cheetah™, a complete online resource that links federal and state labor and employment laws to thousands of cases, concise explanations and expert analysis, offering one of the most robust online libraries for labor arbitration research. The platform also includes Employment Law Daily and time-saving tools such as state and federal employment law comparison charts, tracker news alerts, and the recently expanded SmartTasks collection.
