Wolters Kluwer Legal & Regulatory U.S. will give a presentation on trends in intellectual property (IP) information and searching services at the 2017 IP Service World Convention and Trade Fair on November 27-28, 2017, in Munich, Germany.
Entitled “Balancing the Practice of IP with the Business of IP: The Top 5 Ways to Strengthen Your Position,” the presentation will be led by Amit Alagh, a Product Manager for Wolters Kluwer, and David R. Jarczyk, CLP, President and CEO of information services firm ktMINE. During the presentation, attendees will learn strategies to ensure that their IP position is protecting their business, and will explore different data sources of available IP information and company case studies.
“Now more than ever, there is a significant demand for intellectual property work,” said Amit Alagh. “As the field continues to evolve, it is important for legal professionals to have a full understanding of all available IP data to protect their businesses and make educated decisions to strengthen their IP position.”
Earlier this year, Wolters Kluwer entered into a strategic alliance with ktMINE to provide users with the most comprehensive repository of IP data available, including license agreements, royalty rates, patents, patent assignments, U.S. trademarks, trademark assignments, M&A deals and patent litigation. Wolters Kluwer and ktMINE will exhibit the platform at this year's convention and trade fair.
“Legal professionals are increasingly called upon to understand technology and intellectual property landscapes across a range of sectors - and our research and analytics platform through Wolters Kluwer allows IP professionals to meet these challenges head-on,” said David R. Jarczyk of ktMINE. “We are thrilled to present at IP Service World to discuss the changes that IP professionals are facing every day, and provide them with strategies to make informed decisions and better advise their clients.”
