How to increase safety and efficiency with e-Permit to work
Although OQ had been using a semi-electronic permit to work (PtW) system, it was clear they needed a better solution. Under the previous PtW system, it was difficult to make changes to permits and to track permit status. It was also cumbersome to put several cards into the process at the same time. Some compliance issues occurred due to the weakness of the old PtW process, such as unauthorized individuals signing off on risk assessments.
With Enablon Permit to Work, OQ was able to improve their safety performance by eliminating the risks and inefficiencies associated with traditional PtW systems. OQ saw the number of incidents caused by gaps in the permit to work process decrease significantly. With electronic permit to work, OQ also realized efficiencies in terms of manpower, time, and resources required.
