Dr. Travis joined the Wolters Kluwer team in 2009. In her current position as the Director of Clinical Content for Advanced Clinical Decision Support at UpToDate®, she spearheads innovation and development of workflow-integrated clinical decision support tools.

Dr. Travis combines trusted, best-in-class content from Wolters Kluwer and patient information to create tailored, actionable recommendations. She has pioneered ground-breaking innovations, including interactive decision trees that guide clinicians when making diagnostic and treatment decisions for complex patient conditions.

Between 2006 and 2018, Dr. Travis was an Associate Physician for the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Brigham and Women's Hospital, Boston, MA. She earned her MD from Tufts University School of Medicine and an MSc in epidemiology from the Harvard School of Public Health.

Dr. Travis pursues innovative solutions with the mindset that integrating clinical decision support tools into clinician workflows to make it easy for them to practice evidence-based medicine, decrease gaps in care, and decrease care variability is key to the future of medicine. Her mission is to help clinicians provide the highest quality of care, using evidence-based information that improves patient outcomes, efficiency, and clinician satisfaction.
