Wolters Kluwer to host FRL webinar featuring international arbitration leader Gary Born
Wolters Kluwer Legal & Regulatory will host a global webinar, Building Confidence in an AI Era: The Future of Law, on May 19 at 10:00 a.m. ET / 4:00 p.m. CET, featuring renowned international arbitration authority Gary Born. The event is part of Wolters Kluwer’s seven‑part Future Ready Lawyer webinar series, which examines how artificial intelligence is transforming legal work, business models, and power dynamics across the profession.
The fireside chat will be moderated by Suzanne Konstance, Vice President & General Manager of Wolters Kluwer Legal & Regulatory U.S. She will be joined by Born, a Partner and Chair of the International Arbitration Practice Group at Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr LLP, and Stephanie Walter, Vice President & General Manager, Wolters Kluwer Germany, for a wide‑ranging discussion on the forces shaping the future of law, dispute resolution, and global legal practice.
During the conversation, Born will also share perspectives informed by his forthcoming work International Law in American Courts, which will be available on May 20, 2026. The author argues that modern judicial treatment of international law is fundamentally misaligned with the U.S. Constitution’s text, history, and objectives. It offers timely context as courts, regulators, and practitioners confront growing cross‑border complexity.
Recognized as one of the world’s foremost authorities on international arbitration, Born has served as counsel in more than 750 international arbitrations, including several of the largest in ICC and ad hoc history. He is the only lawyer to be named “Advocate of the Year” by Global Arbitration Review and holds global “starred” status in Chambers rankings for international arbitration.
The webinar builds on insights published earlier this year inside Wolters Kluwer’s 2026 Future Ready Lawyer report, which features new research and perspectives from global legal leaders and innovators navigating rapid technological and market change.
