Sonderegger and Lat will lead a discussion titled “How Can Law Librarians Drive the Future of Law Practice” to explore law librarians’ influence on legal tech adoption within law firms. “Law libraries are often the entry point for introducing the latest in legal tech to practitioners,” said Sonderegger. “As such, it is crucial to recognize the important role that librarians play in furthering innovation within the law firm and driving the future of the practice of law forward.”
The discussion will be followed by an elevator pitch session from legal tech innovators including Casetext, Courtroom Insight and SimplyAgree, and a Q&A with David Lat and Marlene Gebauer, Directors of Knowledge Solutions as Greenberg Traurig, LLP.
With more than two decades of experience at the cutting edge of technology across industries, Dean Sonderegger directs the Legal Markets Group of Wolters Kluwer Legal and Regulatory U.S. He currently authors a monthly column for Above the Law exploring the intersection of artificial intelligence and the practice of law.
Above the Law and the Evolve the Law community are working to bring innovation to the forefront of law firm practice and management. “The Tech Savvy Librarian” will be held at Spark Baltimore on Sunday, July 15 from 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM. All proceeds from the event will be donated to Maryland Legal Aid’s Lawyer in the Library program.
