Wolters Kluwer expands CCH Axcess Engagement tools on single integrated platform

Now, accounting firms that perform both tax work and audits can save time and money by having easy, integrated access to all three cloud-based tools

Wolters Kluwer Tax & Accounting today announced that CCH Axcess™ Engagement – the cloud-based workpaper management and trial balance solution which launched earlier this year – is now fully integrated with CCH Axcess™ Financial Prep and CCH Axcess™ Knowledge Coach. Now, firms that perform both tax work and audits can access all three tools in a single, integrated platform.

The integration of these three tools – which is available starting today – can save accounting firms both time and money by:

  • Providing firms with more control over their cloud-based software usage costs: they now have the flexibility to use CCH Axcess Engagement for higher-value, more complex audit engagements, while still utilizing CCH Axcess Financial Prep for tax return engagements and preparation/ compilation commitments.
  • Driving firm efficiency, by providing a complete digital workflow for tax preparation of business returns, preparation and compilation of financial statements, and review and audit engagements
  • Reducing time spent on mundane, low-value tasks, because data can now be automatically shared among all three tools, eliminating the need for duplicative data entry. For example, all workpapers developed in CCH Axcess Knowledge Coach will now be automatically added to the appropriate engagement binder in CCH Axcess Engagement
  • Integrating your tailored audit methodology with your trial balance and workpaper tools to create a seamless workflow with diagnostics to identify areas that require further attention
We are committed to continually evolving our cloud-based, integrated audit engagement platform to empower accounting firms to deliver high-quality and efficient, data-driven audits – and this latest integration is a great example of our team delivering on that commitment.

Knuff also noted that the results of the annual Wolters Kluwer Accounting Industry Survey found that, approximately 30% of firms want to add audit services in the coming year.
Whether you're a firm that already offers audit services or is looking to add them this year, the integrated, cloud-based tools in our CCH Axcess platform are essential to helping you eliminate low value tasks and free up your staff's time to focus on higher value audit and advisory work.
This announcement marks the latest enhancement to CCH Axcess Engagement, since Wolters Kluwer announced the tool's launch in May 2022. CCH Axcess Engagement reduces many of the mundane, time-consuming tasks associated with tax preparation and audits, and it's the newest addition to Wolters Kluwer's award-winning, cloud-based CCH Axcess platform. With more than 10 years in the market, the CCH Axcess portfolio is a time-tested, reliable and ever-evolving suite of innovative tax, accounting and audit tools, developed collaboratively with customers.
