Alwin van Aggelen is a Mechanical Engineer with 20+ years of experience as HSE and Risk Consultant with eVision, A-RisC, CGE Risk Management Solutions and RPS Consultants respectively. Alwin has specialised in Process Safety and Barrier Management, and has always been interested in operationalising Process Safety and Barrier Management by bringing it to the frontline staff. He has experience working in high-risk industries such as (petro)chemicals, pharmaceuticals, construction, and aviation, most notably with various oil and gas majors. As a Subject Matter Expert on Process Safety and Barrier Management at Enablon-ORM, Alwin supports the development and implementation of the kind of software that he wishes existed back when he was implementing barrier management and trying to operationalise PSM at clients.
