How a large food and beverage company reduced incident rates by 29%

Leading companies have realized that it’s not enough to merely have a good EHS policy. What’s also needed is a global EHS strategy deployed enterprise-wide with integrated technologies to ensure that everyone in the organization – from top leadership to line workers – know the importance and value of keeping each other safe. Advancing a global EHS strategy ensures that EHS becomes embedded in the culture of the organization.

Since the implementation of the Enablon platform in 2013, the company profiled in this case study has seen significant improvements in EHS performance. The Recordable Incident Rate (RIR) has improved 29% and the Lost Time Incident Rate (LTIR) has improved 61%. Most notably, severe incidents are down 85% and environmental notices of violation have improved by 8%. They attribute these improvements in EHS performance to the successful execution of their EHS Strategy and Management System and having Enablon as their Global EHS System.

The company profiled in this case study has a vision of “Beyond Zero,” which means not only achieving a work environment that is free of injuries and environmental impacts but creating an EHS culture with a positive influence on workers and communities.
