John Conner is a Staff Coordinator (SC) with the Diversion Control Division, Liaison and Policy Section. SC Conner previously was the Supervisory Diversion Investigator assigned to the Kansas City District Office of the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA). His mission as a DEA Diversion Investigator is to prevent the diversion of legal pharmaceutical controlled substances into the illegal market. As the Supervisor of the Kansas City District Office, he was responsible for overseeing a wide range of criminal and regulatory investigations involving the Registrant community of professionals in Kansas and Missouri that handle legal pharmaceutical Controlled Substances (i.e. – Physicians, Pharmacists, manufacturers, etc.). As both a Supervisory Diversion Investigator and a Staff Coordinator, he routinely provides awareness and specialized training for industry professionals, law enforcement, and the general public regarding DEA’s mission as it relates to legal pharmaceutical Controlled Substances. SC Conner brings over 15 years of experience to the Liaison and Policy Section.
