About the speakers
Judith W. Herrman, PhD, RN, CNE, ANEF, FAAN, is a registered nurse, educator, and researcher interested in teaching and learning across the lifespan, nursing education, and health promotion. Judy has published over 100 publications and speaks nationally and internationally. As a Senior Clinical Content Specialist-Nursing with Wolters Kluwer, Judy works with nursing schools and customers to explore brain science and the biology of learning, active teaching strategies, and thought leadership. Judy published the fourth edition of Creative Teaching Strategies for the Nurse Educator in 2025.
Dana Schardt, DNP, APNP, RN, is an Integration Nurse Educator with Wolters Kluwer Health and a nurse educator with more than 23 years of experience in nursing education, curriculum development, clinical practice, and simulation-based learning. She has taught and developed curricula across LPN, ADN, BSN, graduate, and DNP programs and specializes in clinical judgment, practice readiness, curriculum design, and student success. Through her work with nursing programs nationwide, Dr. Schardt helps educators implement evidence-based strategies that improve learner outcomes and engagement.
Darla Davidson, EdD, MSN, RN, is a nursing educator, course designer, and faculty development specialist with more than three decades of experience advancing nursing education in academic, clinical, and national professional settings. She currently serves as a Nursing Education Consultant for Wolters Kluwer, where she develops evidence-based syllabi and lesson plans; including a full LPN Model program you will be learning about today. In addition, she provides nationwide faculty training on clinical judgment, competency-based education, case-based learning, and student success strategies.
