Nicholas has been providing advice regarding general and life insurance products for in excess of 25 years.
He has broad experience in all facets of insurance practice including PDS and Policy wording reviews; providing coverage advice; providing regulatory and compliance advice to both insurers and corporate clients; compliance reviews for life insurance sales practices and scripting for regulated products; the application of statutory obligations and remedies under the Insurance Contracts Act 1984; advising on the conduct of disputes with policyholders and third parties; and advising on, including drafting submissions, on potential systemic disputes with ASIC / AFCA.
Nicholas has experience in reviewing, negotiating the terms of, and recommending on the purchase of commercial insurance products, including broadform liability; professional risk (including professional indemnity); workers' compensation; crime; cyber protection; employment practices liability; property (ISR); motor; trustee liability; and directors and officers liability.
He has been regularly named in Best Lawyers™ Australia for Insurance Law. He is a regular presenter on legal issues at insurance industry forums and provides tailored presentations/training to his clients.
