I refer to insurance as the “Rodney Dangerfield” of law – it just does not get the respect it deserves both as an academic subject and a major component of modern society. The uninitiated think of insurance as boring when it’s actually fascinating, both intellectually and because of its function as a lynchpin of economic and social activity.
