Wolters Kluwer Health announced today it will begin publishing the Journal of Bio-X Research under its Lippincott portfolio. The first issue of the Journal of Bio-X Research, the newest open access journal of the Chinese Medical Association (CMA), is available today.
The international journal seeks to publish original, high quality, peer-reviewed papers in a variety of fields that straddle the boundaries between biology and medicine by focusing on interdisciplinary collaborative research. It promotes the application of advances in biology to modern medicine in areas such as etiology, pathophysiology, clinical diagnostics, and preventive medicine, and covers significant technical developments and applications in every area of biomedicine.
“The 21st century is the time of biology. It has been acknowledged that no single discipline can solve all the problems we are facing, so it is important for researchers with different backgrounds to communicate in an effective manner,” said Prof. Lin He, Chief Editor of the Journal of Bio-X Research and a member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, “I am honored to organize the editorial board with scientists from different fields. It is also my greatest pleasure to work with Wolters Kluwer.”
“The Chinese Medical Association is always committed to doing everything it can to support the development of the biomedical research in China. CMA will closely work with the researchers in the life sciences and clinical research fields to achieve this objective,” said Yongmao Jiang, Director, Chinese Medical Association Publishing House.
“We are incredibly excited to be working with the Chinese Medical Association on the creation of this new journal,” said Jayne Marks, Vice President, Global Publishing, Wolters Kluwer Health Learning, Research and Practice. “As a global company, Wolters Kluwer’s goal is to bring important research to the healthcare field in every area of the globe to help ensure that patients are getting the best care. We are pleased to offer the Journal of Bio-X Research and look forward to the ground-breaking research it will cover.”
