The MCP Server is the latest in a fast-moving series of AI launches for TyMetrix 360°
Wolters Kluwer Legal & Regulatory’s ELM Solutions business today announced the introduction of a new Model Context Protocol (MCP) Server for TyMetrix 360°. Legal professional can move through an entire workflow, from identifying and adjusting out-of-policy line items to assigning follow-up actions and approving the invoice, in one conversation with the AI assistant they already use.
“The future of legal operations isn't AI that answers questions. It's AI that does the work," said Brian Jorgenson, Vice President, Head of Product & AI at Wolters Kluwer ELM Solutions. "With the TyMetrix 360° MCP Server, every action runs under the permissions customers already have, so teams get the speed of AI without giving up control. That governed foundation powers every agent we build next."
MCP is an emerging open standard for connecting AI applications to enterprise systems. Read-only connections surface answers, but the work still happens somewhere else. The TyMetrix 360° MCP Server closes that gap, allowing users to create, read, update and delete based on the permissions they already have in TyMetrix 360°.
Full matter and invoice lifecycle: Create and update matters. Approve, reject or adjust invoices and line items. Act on appeals, reroute reviews and handle invoices in bulk. A user could ask how a matter is tracking against budget, drill into the drivers behind the trend, and schedule a meeting to review variances proactively, all without switching systems. This minimizes reliance on one-off integrations or custom development projects.
Everyday work, handled: Users can create and assign tasks, as well as add, edit and delete matter notes.
Deep visibility: Legal professionals are able to query live data on matters, spend, invoices, vendors, timekeepers, rates, alternative fee arrangements and budgets.
Governed by design: Users can see and do only what their TyMetrix 360° permissions allow. Every call is permission-checked, write actions are narrow and explicit, and adjustments can be undone. This maintains security, oversight, and compliance even as AI adoption expands.
