Wolters Kluwer celebrates Asian Pacific American Heritage Month: Sandeep Sacheti

May is Asian Pacific American Heritage Month and this year’s theme is Advancing Leaders Through Collaboration. Throughout the next few weeks, Wolters Kluwer will be spotlighting the careers and stories of several of our Asian and Pacific Islander leaders whose contributions have inspired our growth story and culture of innovation.

Sandeep Sacheti, Executive Vice President, Customer Information Management and Operational Excellence for Wolters Kluwer’s Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) division, works with a truly diverse team comprising of data scientists, print shop operators, legal and compliance experts, design thinkers and market researchers across the globe.

Sandeep is inspired by his team’s ability to work hand-in-glove with each other to provide market-leading expert solutions for the Governance, Risk and Compliance customers. Sandeep said, “I draw satisfaction in creating an environment where individuals can succeed beyond their imagination.  With Wolters Kluwer’s people first culture my personal values align perfectly with our company values.”

Sandeep was shown the value of hard work at a young age by his father who, “even in his late seventies works hard in his florist shop and is genuinely nice to people.” Early in his career, a mentor told Sandeep that, “large, complex problems are a series of small, simple problems; learn to break them down and get going."

Sandeep brings his experience and all the great advice he’s been given to work each day. He tells others, “be intensely curious and addicted to learning new things. Listen to people at all levels, collectively they have the capacity to solve the toughest problems.”

Sandeep finds that some global colleagues have trouble understanding their Asian and Pacific Islander associates due to language and accents. To remedy this, he suggests, “listen to us with a bit of patience and we can add to the diversity of thought and elevate our collective global game.”

Sandeep is proud of his Indian heritage and follows the Jain tradition of vegetarianism and aspires for spiritual growth thru ahimsa (non-violence). Every year, he observes eight days of paryushan culminating in kshamayachana asking for forgiveness from all living souls and forgiving others.
