Laurel Short, DNP, FNP-C, AQH

Dr. Laurel Short practices at Sunflower Medical Clinic. She earned her undergraduate degree in Nursing from Luther College and a Master’s degree in Nursing from the University of Kansas. She completed her Doctor of Nursing degree at the University of Missouri-Kansas City with an emphasis on self-management for chronic migraine. Prior to joining Sunflower, Laurel worked in the area of physical medicine and rehabilitation for ten years and enjoys blending this experience with primary care. In addition to her board-certification as a Family NP, she has a Certificate of Added Qualification in Headache Medicine and is the current President of the Kansas Advance Practice Nurse Association.  Outside of the office, you will find her training for triathlon and running events and chasing after her two young children.
