Balázs Réffy is the Vice President of Wolters Kluwer for the region of three countries (Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovak Republic) and four businesses.
Balázs transitioned from academia to Wolters Kluwer in 2006, where he began as Publisher for the Science Portfolio of Akadémiai Kiadó, one of the Hungarian WK businesses. In 2014, he was appointed Managing Director, leading the company’s successful digital transformation and launching innovative, high-growth products. Since 2024, Balázs has led Wolters Kluwer’s operations as a general manager across the Czech Republic, Hungary, and Slovakia, driving regional growth and strategic initiatives. He holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry and received his MBA from the Budapest University of Technology and Economics.
