CCH Axcess Practice - Introduction to Power BI

Online or In-person

In today’s world, accounting firms have access to more data than ever before and understanding the fundamentals of business intelligence is often cited as a critical component to the success of the modern CPA firm. Using Microsoft Power BI, you can create a true business intelligence platform, and this course will get you started on that path. Pairing Power BI and Wolters Kluwer (WK) Products can help your firm run more efficiently, understand your Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and deliver interactive dashboards that are the cornerstone for informed decision making. This course utilizes WK product-oriented datasets in guided steps to help the professionals in the firm learn the fundamentals of Power BI. By using real world situations (tax season, WIP listings, etc.), we teach not only how to pull the information you need, but how to create new connections from the information you have. While this course works with Power BI and WK products, the ability to use other datasets is discussed as well as how to create relationships between unaffiliated datasets. We will also share advanced Power BI and Power Query tips, including how to create Hierarchy drilldowns and slicers which help the consumers of your business information navigate effortlessly to the information they need.
