Bucharest Arbitration Days 2024 to Explore Critical Developments in International Arbitration

The Court of International Commercial Arbitration attached to the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in collaboration with Wolters Kluwer Romania, proudly presents the 5th edition of Bucharest Arbitration Days (BArD), scheduled for June 6-7, 2024, in Bucharest. This year’s edition of Bucharest Arbitration Days (BArD), the premier conference in Romania dedicated to international commercial arbitration, promises to delve into the critical developments shaping the landscape of international arbitration.

Under the theme “Critical Developments in International Arbitration”, BArD 2024 will spotlight the ongoing debate surrounding the legitimacy of international arbitration as a prime mechanism for resolving commercial disputes.
BArD 2024 is organized with the support of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators; Oil, Gas & Energy Law (OGEL) / Transnational Dispute Management (TDM), and Young Romanian Arbitration Practitioners (YRAP).

The keynote speakers of the 2024 edition are Prof. Julian DM Lew KC, International Arbitrator, Twenty Essex, and Head of the School of International Arbitration, Centre for Commercial Law Studies, Queen Mary University of London, and Prof. Maria Chiara Malaguti, President of UNIDROIT, of counsel at PedersoliGattai, and Professor of International Law at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore (Milan/Rome, Italy).
