Wolters Kluwer supports disaster relief efforts in Nepal

Wolters Kluwer, a leading global provider of information for professionals, announced today it is opening access to multiple clinical information solutions to support disaster relief efforts in Nepal following the recent earthquake.

Doctors, hospitals, healthcare institutions, and medical relief workers in Nepal will have full, free access to all of the UpToDate® clinical decision support resources, as well as to Ovid® MEDLINE® and Lippincott Williams & Wilkins journals, ebook collections, and expert searches. In addition, Wolters Kluwer employees have launched a donation campaign, to be matched by the company.

"We offer our deepest sympathies to the people suffering from this unprecedented natural disaster," said Corinne Saunders, CEO, Wolters Kluwer Emerging & Developing Markets. "We truly believe it's our mission to provide professionals and first responders with fast access to medical resources in support of emergency and trauma care to those affected by the disaster."

Access to these Wolters Kluwer resources is available to anyone with an IP address originating in Nepal. This applies to doctors, healthcare and emergency rescue workers, and volunteers, and will be available for at least 2 months. Learn more by visiting or the Wolters Kluwer Emergency Resources Portal for details.

As a participating information partner with the U.S. National Library of Medicine's Emergency Access Initiative, Wolters Kluwer is providing free access to more than 50 medical and nursing journals and ebook content via this channel as well.
