Wolters Kluwer Legal & Regulatory has announced that Bas Kniphorst has been named Vice President and Managing Director for Benelux, within the Legal & Regulatory division, effective August 1, 2020. Bas Kniphorst succeeds Martin O'Malley, who was recently appointed Executive Vice President and Managing Director of the Legal & Regulatory division.

Bas Kniphorst has 20 years of experience at Wolters Kluwer, with a successful track record in leading business transformation and growth. Previously, he worked for Wolters Kluwer’s Tax & Accounting division as Vice President of Product Management Research & Learning in the United States and Canada.

Throughout his career, Bas has held a number of leadership positions, including General Manager at Wolters Kluwer’s Asia Pacific businesses. With a strong focus on developing advanced digital solutions to improve the productivity of professionals, he successfully launched two new research platforms and introduced several innovative products to in the North America.
Bas Kniphorst holds a Master of Arts in International Studies and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Politics from Hatfield College, Durham University, United Kingdom. He lives with his wife and two daughters in Amsterdam.
