Starting January 1, 2025, European financial institutions must meet the first CRR 3 regulatory milestone by monitoring compliance with all metrics prescribed by the European Banking Authority (EBA). Just a few months later, the second major requirement arrives: submitting COREP regulatory reports based on March 31, 2025, data, with a remittance deadline of May 12, 2025.
To add to the urgency, the EBA is expected to only release the final DPM 4.0 framework in December 2024. Meanwhile, UK banks are preparing for Basel 3.1 regulations, which go live in January 2026.
