Professor Robin Christian and Associate Professor Michelle Palokas, Director and Deputy Director of the Mississippi Centre for Evidence Based Practice: A JBI Centre of Excellence, are pioneering the integration of implementation methodology within a Doctorate of Nursing Program (DNP).
Students complete the clinical component of their program using theories, models, and frameworks to guide implementation planning, conduct, and reporting. This approach is complemented by online software that assists with project design, data collection, and reporting, including a specialist module to support and assist with the crucial aspects of implementation planning, impact evaluation, and sustainability of outcomes for best practice. Students are then supported to draft and submit an implementation report for publication in a high-impact factor, peer-reviewed journal.
In this webinar, our speakers Robin and Michelle highlighted valuable strategies for universities offering DNPs that are seeking evidence-based approaches to improving student experiences and opportunities. This JBI LIVE free webinar is hosted by Wolters Kluwer Health and facilitated by Associate Professor Craig Lockwood, Director of Implementation Science at JBI.
