Larry Perlman is a tax and regulatory specialist with Wolters Kluwer, focusing primarily on legal and regulatory issues related to cashless withholding and cryptocurrency. His business and tax background allows him to address and explain the tax-related challenges faced by taxpayers and the financial services industry, such as taxation of debt instruments and derivatives, corporate actions, and cost basis, as well as the unique withholding tax issues presented for various financial instruments. He also assists financial institutions and investors in understanding recent tax developments.

Perlman has been with Wolters Kluwer for 26 years after working in the tax departments of large and small accounting firms.

Perlman earned his bachelor degree in 1985 and law degree in 1988 from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana. He received his Master of Laws degree (LL.M.) in tax law from Chicago-Kent College of Law in 1995.  Larry is a certified public accountant (CPA) and was a member of the University of Illinois Law Alumni Board from 2016-2018.
