Expert AI is Wolters Kluwer’s specialised generative AI for legal solution, integrated directly into Kleos. Grounded in over a decade of innovation, it combines deep domain expertise with responsible AI principles to help legal professionals work more strategically.

We have designed Expert AI to streamline your workflows and enhance your expertise. It empowers you to deliver greater impact across the legal landscape by allowing you to work faster and smarter within a secure environment.

Unlike general-purpose models, Kleos Expert AI is tailored specifically for the daily needs of legal professionals. While generic tools lack industry-specific context, Kleos offers specialized features designed for law firms, including document summarisation, search, analysis and comparison with AI.

We are also expanding its capabilities to support case management with AI and a broader range of activities to improve productivity at the firm level. 

Kleos Expert AI is included in the Advanced and Advanced+ plans. If you are currently on the Core plan, you will need to upgrade your subscription to access these Expert AI features and enhance your workflow.

When you compare documents, all prompts and results are stored securely within your Kleos system to guarantee confidentiality and provide easy access for future reference.

Your documents are treated with the highest level of security. They are shared with no one and are used only to answer your questions. Once the session is over, the data is not retained for other uses.

No, your data remains private. Wolters Kluwer adheres to strict responsible AI principles. Your client data and documents are never used to train the public models of our technology partners, ensuring your firm maintains full confidentiality and compliance.

The AI searches, synthesizes, and compares information contained within the documents you process, but it does not replace legal judgment. Think of it as a highly efficient assistant that helps you find what you need in seconds, without requiring you to read an entire document word-for-word.

Kleos Expert AI supports a wide range of file formats to streamline your workflow. You can analyze documents, emails, and even images directly within the Kleos interface, eliminating the need for conversions.
The specific formats supported include:
 -Text documents: .doc, .docx, .pdf, and .txt.
 - Emails: .eml and .msg, with the AI identifying recipients, sender, subject, body text, and any attachments.
 - Images: .png, .jpg, .jpeg, .webp, and .gif.
To ensure efficiency, Kleos Expert AI can process up to five documents simultaneously, in addition to emails and their corresponding attachments. The AI assistant is only enabled for these specific file types.

Yes, documents must be optical character recognition (OCR) compatible. The AI requires machine-readable text to perform analysis, summarization, or extraction tasks effectively.

Yes, there are operational limits to ensure speed and performance. The system cannot process documents that exceed 6 MB. Additionally, for email processing, the tool does not currently allow for multiselection of emails; they must be processed individually.

Not yet. We are currently working on developing Expert AI for case management within Kleos, which will provide financial analysis capabilities. 

Yes, the AI is generally effective at translating legal terminology. However, for unusual or highly specific legal concepts, there may be slight misalignments. We recommend reviewing translations for accuracy regarding specific jurisdictional terms.
