In the years 1995–1999, member of the Bank Guarantee Fund Council, and in the years 1999–2003 – Chairman of the Bank Guarantee Fund Council. In 2005, awarded the Gold Cross of Merit for his contribution to the Polish banking system. As of 1997, editor-in-chief of the journal "Glosa. Prawo Gospodarcze w Orzeczeniach i Komentarzach." As of 2012, Associate Dean for Finance at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Warsaw. As of 2014, Board Member of the European Law Faculties Association, and as of April 2019 – President of this association. Member of the editorial board of “The European Journal of Legal Education”. Particularly interested in the issues of public banking law, and above all – in regulatory and supervisory matters regarding the financial market, as well as bank deposit guarantee systems. Author and co-author of numerous publications, including a monograph, a commentary on the Act on the Bank Guarantee Fund, articles and glosses.
