Karen Abramson is the CEO of Wolters Kluwer’s newest division: Corporate Performance & ESG (CP & ESG).
Karen is responsible for driving the alignment, accelerated growth and integration of the CP & ESG division’s three award-winning, global, cloud-based software businesses, which collectively focus on corporate performance management, ESG, EHS, audit assurance, and risk. The division employs approximately 2,500 people globally, operates in 31 countries, and serves customers in 155 countries. Its technology solutions reach 38% of companies listed in the Fortune 500 and more than 2,000 offices of the CFO.
In 2025 alone, under Karen’s leadership, the CP & ESG division has earned over 30 awards and recognitions from leading names in the industry, including Gartner, BARC, Verdantix, The International Business Awards, Globee Awards, Stratus Cloud Computing Awards, and others. Notably, the CCH Tagetik Intelligent Platform was recognized as a Leader in the 2025 Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Financial Close and Consolidation Solutions.
Innovation is at Karen’s core as a leader. She recognizes that employees who work side-by-side with customers daily are uniquely positioned to identify customer challenges and find innovative solutions. Previously at Wolters Kluwer, Karen served as CEO of the Tax & Accounting division. During that time, she was named six times by CPA Practice Advisor to be one of the most powerful women in accounting. Abramson was also a past Executive Board Member of the Software Information Industry Association and an Association of American Publishers Executive Board Member. She was named to CPA Practice Advisor’s list of the Top 100 Most Influential People in Accounting multiple times. Karen sat on the Outsell European Executive Council and currently sits on the Forbes Technology Council.
Karen was named 2019 CEO of the Year by the SIIA (Software Information Industry Association), in recognition of her leadership in launching award-winning products and driving technology and innovation. She also earned Female Executive of the Year honors in the 2024 Silver Stevie® Awards for Women in Business; and a 2024 Silver Globee® for Woman Executive of the Year – Business Products and Services.
