Duns has been a long-term user of CCH iFirm software from the very early days of the software to today.
“We’ve been using CCH iFirm for a very long time, and we’ve been very happy with it and seen no reason to change. When something is working, you don’t change for the sake of change. Business is about relationships, and we see CCH as our partner,” said Ian Jefferis, Partner, Duns.
Before implementing CCH iFirm, Duns had been using MYOB AO and then MYOB AE, when they started exploring other solutions.
“When we did our analysis way back then, we looked at a few products, but decided to go with CCH iFirm because it had the functionality we needed and was a full cloud solution,” said Ian.
Simpler workflow on the cloud
More recently, the firm has implemented CCH iFirm Document Vault, meaning the firm now has the full CCH iFirm practice management and compliance suite.
“The biggest advancement in recent years is the document management system – CCH iFirm Document Vault. We used to have our own server, and now we’ve got everything on the cloud. Even in the first year of using the product, we’ve seen enhancements which have made it even better. It has been a big time saver. We have some staff work from home, which enables them to access the documents more quickly and easily online,” said Ian.
“Because the document management is all integrated with the other CCH iFirm modules, it makes things much easier. For example, a staff member may need me to review and sign a document. They email me the document link, and it’s easy for me to just click the link and it opens CCH iFirm, and again I can easily click through everything and then send it out.
“Previously we’d have so many emails flowing around with PDF attachments. The volume of email data has reduced considerably and the process is all much faster now.
The simpler workflow is enabled through CCH iFirm’s integrated suite of modules, which include CCH iFirm Practice Manager, Client Accounting, Tax, Document Vault, Client Portal and Signatures, with complementary solutions such as CCH iFirm Workpapers and CCH iKnowConnect available as well.
