Wolters Kluwer integrates its easyQuorum LegalTech solution for the digitization of statutory and board meetings into Microsoft Teams

December 14, 2022 - Wolters Kluwer’s LegalTech solution easyQuorum, the most complete software for the digitization of general assemblies and board meetings, is now accessible on the Microsoft Teams videoconferencing platform. It allows for easy remote follow-up of statutory meetings and compliance with legal requirements. The integration of easyQuorum into Microsoft Teams is another example of the ongoing collaboration between Wolters Kluwer Legal & Regulatory and Microsoft, aimed at improving legal workflows for lawyers and corporate legal departments.

As was stated in the report Legal Departments on the Move 2022 from Wolters Kluwer and the European Corporate Lawyers Association (ECLA), the process of digitization of companies has accelerated during the Covid crisis. Legal departments have had to review their internal processes due to the general implementation of remote work processes (85%), the increased use of electronic signatures (71%) and the introduction of online meetings and voting (51%).

"With the integration of easyQuorum into Microsoft Teams, we’re extending Wolters Kluwer’s offering to meet all corporate needs of legal departments,” explains Sergio Liscia, VP of Wolters Kluwer Legal & Regulatory Legal Software. “Together with our customers, we are closely following - and taking action on - the latest trends and needs, and we will continue to introduce new integrations and functionalities to support further digital transformation of the legal profession."

In this period of disruptive change, Wolters Kluwer’s easyQuorum has established itself as a leading solution for the digitization of statutory and board meetings. Simultaneously, companies have started using Microsoft Teams to organize both remote and hybrid meetings, with today 270 million monthly users. However, the governance of statutory and board meetings needs to meet specific legal requirements, which easyQuorum offers:

  • Secure access to documents and agendas
  • Identity check of participants
  • Certified attendance
  • Secured voting

With the easyQuorum application embedded in Teams, these functionalities will become accessible via the Microsoft platform, allowing organizers and users to save time by centralizing the entire workflow and communication channels related to statutory and board meetings. The application will initially be available in French and English.

This is what one of easyQuorum’s users said of the solution: Marjorie Gomis, Legal Director of Orpi: "The Orpi associates have developed a strong preference for using this hybrid format and tell us that they do not want to go back to another way of working. We value easyQuorum for its completeness, ease of use and the high quality of support offered by the easyQuorum teams."

Wolters Kluwer acquired easyQuorum in October 2021 and is investing ongoing to add new value to the solution. Its integration into Microsoft Teams is an important step to enable easy access to the specialized legal software. The software has also been integrated in Legisway, Wolters Kluwer’s all-in-one, modular LegalTech software for corporate legal departments. The integration of the LegalTech solution easyQuorum into Microsoft Teams is another example of how Wolters Kluwer Legal & Regulatory is improving legal workflows for lawyers and corporate legal departments. Wolters Kluwer and Microsoft are also collaborating in other areas, such as exploring AI-driven legal workflows: Microsoft and Wolters Kluwer Legal & Regulatory partner to explore AI-driven legal workflows | AI for Business.
