Case study: Wild Bookkeeping and the Basecone receipt scanner

Penelope spoke to us about why she chose Basecone, and why “it is a shame that more people haven’t heard of it!”

Why Wild chose Basecone

The Basecone receipt scanner was an obvious fit for Wild. This was because it offered them functions and compatibilities that no other receipt scanner solution on the market did.

“Basecone integrated with our existing bookkeeping solution, which wasn’t a well-known one,” Penelope told us. “There wasn’t another receipt scanner solution that would integrate with it, which made Basecone an obvious choice. We also had two particular clients whose requirements made Basecone appealing. One wanted a solution that would scan documents as separate PDFs, the other wanted a mobile app to approve a high volume invoices on the go. For that, Basecone is an excellent solution.”

Wild’s experience with Basecone

After coming across the solution in November 2020, Wild went live with Basecone in the following January.

“Basecone was very easy to set up, and the integration with our bookkeeping solution works brilliantly,” said Penelope. “It definitely saves me time, and it certainly saves my clients time as well. A number of my clients are scanning invoices through in bulk, so it works particularly well for them. The ease of scanning keeps them happy, which obviously is great for us – if you keep them happy and give them great value, they’re happy to pay for your services.”

Visibility and transparency has also been a great benefit for Penelope’s clients. “If you need multiple people to authorise an invoice, Basecone gives great visibility for that too,” she observed. “That always saves time. They like Basecone, they’re happy with it.”
