Mackenzie is a trained Epidemiologist with over 14 years of experience in the areas of infectious diseases, data analytics, health informatics, and software development.

Mackenzie functions as an inclusive health advocate and clinical thought leader with an extensive background in supporting large multi-site organizations. She has applied her expertise in a variety of practice settings, including academia, federal government, state government, acute care, health care systems, and now within technology.

Mackenzie is certified in infection control by the Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology, a member of the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC), a member of the Council of State and Territorial Epidemiologists (CSTE), and holds a certificate in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace by the University of South Florida. Mackenzie holds a bachelor of science degree in Exercise Science from Winston-Salem State University and a master of public health degree in epidemiology and biostatistics from George Washington University.
